Cleaning your leather sofa can be intimidating but don’t be scared. There are many products on the market that do just that and you don’t have to be a professional. You can apply it with comfort of ease. So once you pick out a product to do the job , you can follow these simple to do tips !

1) First test the leather conditioner in an inconspicuous spot and check for discoloration or abrasion of the leather. Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and guidelines when using a leather conditioner.

2) Apply the leather conditioner to a clean, dry, soft cloth.

3) Rub it into the leather using gentle pressure and a circular motion.

4) Let the product remain on the couch for five to ten minutes, so that it soaks into the leather.

5) Buff the couch with another clean, dry, soft cloth. Work on a small area at a time and complete one area before moving on to the next area.

6) Apply a second coat to the highly used areas of your leather couch, such as the seats and armrests.

Clean and condition your leather couch 2 to 4 times a year. Position your couch so it is out of direct sunlight to prevent fading and discoloration of the leather.
